Germany is a safe and modern country with efficient public transport, clean cities, and well-organized systems. The culture may be different from what you know – people can seem direct, but they are respectful and supportive, especially when you make an effort to speak German.

Language: Your Most Important Tool

Before you begin your journey to Germany, it's important to build a strong foundation in the German language. Communication with patients, colleagues, and in everyday life is key to your success.

Individual Language Coaching (One-on-One or Small Groups)

  • Targeted support for personal challenges (e.g. speaking under pressure, grammar gaps, writing skills)

  • Feedback on oral presentations or interview simulations

  • Weekly “language clinic” or coaching sessions with personalized guidance

Creating a Personal Application Portfolio

  • Each student creates a professional application folder in German (real or fictional):

  • CV, motivation letter, training certificates

  • In-class presentation: “How do I explain my background?”

  • Focus on clear expression and professional presentation skills

Simulation: “My First Day at Work” or “My Interview”

  • Role plays based on real-life work or interview situations (with helpful expressions)

  • Group reflection afterward: What went well? What was difficult?

  • Optionally recorded for self-reflection (with consent)

 

 

Project Work with Presentation

  • Example topics:

  • “Nursing in my home country vs. in Germany”

  • “My career journey so far”

  • “Communication with patients: challenges and strategies”

  • Goal: improve fluency, expand topic-related vocabulary, practice free speaking

Exam Preparation with Personalized Study Plans

  • Diagnostic test at the beginning → personalized learning plan for B2 telc or Pflege exam

  • Focus areas adjusted per learner (e.g. listening comprehension vs. written production)

  • Regular reflection on learning goals: “What can I do better now?”

Topic-Based Electives (Optional Modules)

  • Learners choose extra topics based on interest or future needs, e.g.:

  • “German for daily life in hospitals”

  • “Speaking on the phone and writing documentation”

  • “German for parents – communication with schools”

  • This creates relevance and motivation through personal choice
