Arrival at the Airport – First Steps in Germany

After a long flight, the moment has finally come.
Our nurses arrive at a German airport – a little tired, a little nervous, but full of hope. With every step, they come closer to their new life, their new job, and a future full of opportunity.

Welcome to Germany – your journey is just beginning.

ARRIVING GERMANY

Arrival in Germany – A New Chapter Begins

The long journey is over – and a new life is about to begin.
Tired but excited, our nurses arrive in Germany with hope in their hearts and dreams in their suitcases. Each bag carries not only clothes and essentials – but also courage, determination, and the promise of a brighter future.

Welcome to Germany. Your new home awaits.

Registration at the Town Hall – First Official Step

Today, our nurses went to the citizens’ office (Bürgerberatung) to complete their registration (Anmeldung).
This is one of the first important steps after arriving in Germany. By registering their address, they officially become part of their new local community.

First Grocery Shopping in Germany – A Fun and Surprising Experience

The first trip to a German supermarket – exciting, a little confusing, and full of discoveries!

Our nurses explored the aisles filled with unfamiliar brands, new packaging, and local specialties.

But step by step, shopping becomes easier – and even fun.
Learning German includes learning everyday life – and the supermarket is the perfect classroom!

From cheese in dozens of varieties to bread rolls with names we can’t pronounce (yet!), everything was new.

Some surprises:

  • Butter in paper, not plastic

  • Different types of milk: Vollmilch, H-Milch, laktosefrei...

  • Mineral water with gas ("Sprudel") – by mistake!

  • Sausages in jars, and yogurt in glass

  • And of course: the mystery of the Pfand (deposit) on bottles and cans

In Germany, work-life balance is very important – and that means there’s always time to enjoy your free time after work or on weekends. Whether you live in a big city or a small town, there’s always something new to discover.
